APRIL 12th, 2011

I spent the weekend biking on the stationary bike and doing my exercises. Last night, I could appreciate the results of my work.
Today I went to therapy and my flexion is much better. I am still at 110% but it is a more relaxed flexion. I don't need to stretch as much as I did so far to reach the flexion. Also I am now biking with the seat as close as it is possible to the handlebars.
I am still having the regular leg raise exercises, bridges with a rubber band to maintain resistance between my knees, exercises with a wedge for the back of my calf, tiptoes exercises and quad exercises. Quad exercises are the most difficult because I tend to bear more weight on my right leg which is hard on my right knee. I need to focus on balancing my weight. I also have a smoother gait and I'm glad since it is my goal to get rid of my slight limping.
I had coffee with a friend to celebrate my accomplishments and I will return to more exercises this afternoon.
I have massage on Wednesday and therapy again on Friday. If the progress is as great in the next few days, I see the end of the tunnel with more clarity.
Hooray!
